Search operation via "178 Kitas zur Auswahl"
With 178 day care centres in Hamburg, the 'Vereinigung' provides Hamburg residents with an extensive network to cover child care in the city. Many city districts have more than one day care centre. That is an advantage for you - as our day care centres all maintain the same standards, but each differ widely in the various activities and educational concepts they offer. Each day care centre is "an original" - and you get to choose which one gets your child!
You have to start a search operation for the right day care centre from the German pages of this web-site. But don't worry. Just follow the steps we describe below:
|
1. |
You are probably interested in day care centres near where you live (or near your place of work), right?! Well, either select and highlight the city district you want ["Gewünschte Stadtteil zum Anklicken"] or simply enter your postal code / zip code ["Postleitzahl"].
(Alternatively, click a day care centre you are interested in directly from out of the list at the bottom of the page - it might be one that you have heard of already. To find it more quickly, get the system to sort the centres by street or by name. ["Kitas nach Straße sortieren/Kitas nach Name sortieren"].
|
|
2. |
If you enter the city district or the postal code and start the search operation, the system will display a list of day care centres in that district and its neighbouring areas. To take a look at any individual day care centre in this list, just click it. Each day care centre entry will give you that day care centre's address and phone number, the names of the managerial staff, information on the pedagogical work given, photos of the centre and a floor-plan.
Unfortunately, we can only provide this information in German. But even if your German is not quite as good as you might want it to be, don't let that put you off. Just call us - we would be happy to invite you round to see us at the centre. And if you don't fancy struggling with German on the phone, just come and see us. Somehow we'll manage to make ourselves understood.
